    Excessive Grieving Policy

    Post by chase_breaker on 9/16/2011, 19:31

Okay so over the last 2 advances we have a number of incidences with "Excessive Grieving," and games being stopped over it. I would like to make the following statement in regards to it. MOST EVERYONE IN THIS GROUP HAS A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF NOT CHEATING. That's not to say there isn't cheating going on because on some level there will always be, but if someone has been booted for excessive grieving and you want to accuse them of cheating there is a process you need to do.

    Filing a Excessive Grievance report:
    1. Contact your opponent and let them know in a nice way that it said they got booted for excessive grieving and give them a chance to replay the game.
    2. THIS SHOULD BE FOR BOTH PARTIES! IF THE GAME GETS DROPPED AGAIN, TAKE A PICTURE OF IT WITH YOUR PHONE OR DIGITAL CAMERA. UPLOAD IT AND SEND IT TO 817-266-3794, OR CHASE_BREAKER@YAHOO.COM.
Note: If I only get one picture of excessive grieving and you can provide me with a picture to counter act it, then you are cheating. It's the only way to dispute it.

Said party will be booted to let the Human Player who didn't cheat play the game against the cpu, then you will be invited back with a new password.

If there is grieving going on purpose then it is punishable by a ban but only if the grieving is repeated over series of weeks or the person is a repeat offender.

Grieving can be defined as a number of things:
    Pausing Repeated
    Causing Known Glitches
    Purposely Causing Internet Lag
Purposely Causing Your Opponent To Lose Control of Their Team In Anyway

Grieving can happen if your internet is really slow, so it can also not be malicious.

Excessive Grieving that can be proved (Picture that shows said statement, "Your opponent has been kicked for excessive grieving," must be sent to chase_breaker via text or email, you must notify your opponent nicely that that message has been received and tell them you have taken a picture, if you can take a picture of your screen to show that it was your slow internet and not on purpose, by it saying "Network Connection has been lost" then it will be disregarded.

As I continue to learn more about this I will change the rules.

Purposely Excessive Grieving is not allowed in MXLF, if you can't do it in real life, don't bring it in this league!

It happened to me and Flybad the other night. It told me my connection timed out. This will happen when your connection slows down or gets disconnected.

Flybad and I had two games ended over grieving last night night. Wasn't anything malicious or cheating, i just think the system/server was wonky last night, there was a lot of lag in both games.

The first game, Flybad was winning late in the game - then he was "kicked for grieving". The second game I was winning late then "kicked for grieving". I think the latest PS3 update might have something to do with it - cuz late last night i had to install the latest update.... so i'm thinking whatever was wrong last night should be fixed when we re-try our game tonight (as long as flybad also installs the ps3 update before we try).

I didnt feel any need to take pix of the screens cuz it was obviously a network problem...

I'm don't feel that all types of grievances are bad... infact I said not all are malicious, I am well aware of that. Truth be told it can happen to anyone, but there are people who cheat and get caught because of the new system. I make a ruling on a case to case measure if the need comes for that. If you know the dude is cheating and it's a poor connection of course don't go tattle tale... lol
